Willowbrooke Cover Reveal

When I first wrote Willowbrooke during NaNoWriMo 2022, I hadn’t yet begun my self-publishing journey, so it was only while I was doing initial revisions after getting outside feedback that I really started thinking about how I wanted the book to look and feel.

Perhaps it was the coastal setting, but blue was always the color that stood out as a right fit for it, and I wanted to find a designer who could adequately showcase the combination of mystery and romance within Willowbrooke.

By blending mysterious images that evoke the setting of the story, including the house, the coastal landscape, and the willow trees that surrounded the property with an absolutely stunning font, called Brioche, which I found on Pinterest of all places, that I can only describe as romantic with all its swirling lettering (which also inspired the section break flourish within the book).

My designer, AJ Wolf brought all of these elements together and made what was perhaps the most ingenious decision, to split the title in half, to make the book typography front and center. Brilliant. And when AJ sent me the cover design and asked for feedback, I sat with the design over a weekend and shared it with a few close friends and didn’t have a single change. It was simply perfection. And I’m still in awe every time I look at it, to think that it’s mine.

So without further ado, I am so pleased to share with you, the cover design of Willowbrooke.

I hope you love it as much as I do.
