Willowbrooke Trope Reveal

Love them or hate them, tropes are such an integral part of romance books these days. For some, they may be seen as spoilers, but for others, it’s a way to easily decide if a book is something you would be interested in reading, as some tropes hit just the right way and make you giggle and kick your feet as you read, while others can rub you the wrong way, based on personal preferences and experiences.

While writing Willowbrooke, initially I had planned for Penny and Leo to be more opposites attract, but as the characters began to unveil themselves to me, I saw them more as kindred spirits. The slow-burn element was always a major part of their story, but with some great feedback from a beta reader (shout out Heather!), I was able to increase the pining between the characters, making it that much more sweet of a victory when they eventually do get together.

But there’s so much more to Willowbrooke than just the slow-burn romance. Take a look at all the tropes included in the story below and let me know which ones you’re most looking forward to reading!

  • Slow-burn
  • Workplace romance
  • Friends to lovers
  • Pining
  • Forced proximity
  • Forbidden romance
  • Home renovation
  • Haunted house
  • Whodunnit/Murder mystery
  • Cinnamon roll MMC

I can’t wait to for you to read it!
