This time one year ago, I would have never imagined I would be standing here today, a published author. I spent years writing and never sharing a word of it with anyone because I had convinced myself that my work wasn’t good enough for anyone to want to read it.

You all have proved me wrong. The indie authors on this platform have showed me through their honesty and vulnerability that while the work is arduous, it is possible, and it is worth it. I would have never taken this leap of faith without following your journeys and realizing that it was something I could do on my own. I’d always known that traditional publishing didn’t feel like it was the right fit for me, but I hadn’t known enough about self publishing prior to learning more on bookstagram.

To the readers that took time out of their day to take a chance on a new author, your words, and reviews, and promotions have meant so much to me. The thought that my words would connect with anyone else has meant more to me than anything else.

And last, but certainly not least, to those of you that were a part of the process to make this book what it is, I will be forever grateful for your time, expertise, and hand holding. I have found kindred spirits in all of you. It has been a pleasure to walk this path in your company.
